Formerly a warehouse for the First Bank, Hua Shan Din by Cosmos Creation was built in 1952 using the now rare architecture style of slab and column. The original building characteristics were preserved during hotel renovation, as is evident in the funnel top columns seen throughout the hotel. In addition, in keeping with the ‘Preserving Hua Shan 1950’ concept, banking elements are incorporated into the hotel’s interior design, including bank vault door handles, exclusive design gold mugs, checkbook style notepads, etc. Coupled with American comic strip style design highlights, the art and cultural charm of Taipei is on full display.
